Our office will be happy to assist you with your questions concerning family planning.  We offer recommendations concerning your diet exercise, medication use and supplemental vitamins.  Family planning is a joyous time in your life but can be fraught with many questions and concerns, so don't hesitate to call our office for your family planning evaluation or questions.

Infertility

Infertility affects 10% of couples, but most infertility problems can be diagnosed and corrected without surgery or in vitro fertilization (IVF). If a couple has unprotected intercourse for one year without conception, or if the woman has irregular or no periods, she might want to see Dr. Hodges before one year has elapsed.

Dr. Hodges will take a thorough history and may perform blood work, ultrasound, post coital test, ovulation prediction, semen analysis, hysterosalpingogram (HSG), or laparoscopy. Our office offers all of these services and after diagnosis is obtained, Dr. Hodges will work with the patient and her partner to develop a plan of treatment.

Essure Procedure

The Essure Procedure is a new procedure where the fallopian tubes are blocked for women desiring permanent sterilization. The Essure procedure is the most effective form of permanent birth control as well as being the least invasive. This procedure can be done in the office with local anesthesia or in the hospital if desired.
